Sea turtles are wild animals, so sightings can never be guaranteed. However, Akumal Bay is an important feeding habitat for sea turtles, and the experience is designed to observe them respectfully in their natural environment.
You don’t need to be an advanced swimmer. Life jackets are provided, and your guide stays with the group throughout the snorkeling experience. Please let us know in advance if anyone in your group is not comfortable in the water.
